Vines, Wines and Artisan Ambitions at Heritage Estate Wines

Therese Fenwick is gearing up for an art extravaganza in readiness for artisan applications

Vines, Wines and Artisan Ambitions at Heritage Estate Wines

Heritage Estate Wines vigneron Therese Fenwick is gearing up for an art extravaganza in readiness for artisan applications to be part of the 2020 Granite Belt Art and Craft Trail which open on 1 July 2020

It’s a family story here at Heritage Estate, as young Jackson Scanlan works at our cellar door on the weekend, and just happens to have a father who is a talented airbrush artist, Tom Scanlan, renowned for his expressive portraiture.

We also hope to host Tim Jackson in our venue, a leadlight glass artist known for his beautiful lamps and windows. It should be a great weekend, we plan on hosting some live music to support the artisans and bring people into our cellar door.

Art and music elevate us to the higher echelons of humanity. Participation in the arts is a great foundation for our youth to build upon. Rob and I love to support our local artists and musicians. Every Thursday night we host a musicians’ supper and jam session at our Cottonvale cellar door.

Heritage Estate Wines is so much more than a cellar door. We can offer a unique Granite Belt experience, with a weekend stay in our historical cottage built in 1864. Think James Halliday-rated wines, romantic fireplace, cedar lining, private gardens, resident kangaroos — it’s the ultimate secluded art lovers getaway,” says Ms Fenwick.

The Granite Belt Art and Craft Trail — Open Studios Event will now be held over a three-day weekend at the end of October opening at 10am on Friday 30 October and closing on Sunday 1 November at 4pm.

Last year, over 27 venues hosting over 50 artisans participated.
