Watercolours
Judy loves the results gained by the flow of water and paint with watercolour. She has a fascination with the effects of light in all its changing moods on my subject. Her particular area of interest when capturing and recreating images is observing life's intriguing details.
Judy chooses themes that please her eye and convey mood and feeling. She absorbs the atmosphere as best to infuse it into her painting. She has developed a style of painting with realism and abstraction and likes mixing these two styles in the same painting. Judy chooses subjects that give her pleasure to bring to life.
Judy has attended Grafton Art School and has been tutored by some of Australia's leading artists. She has attended weekend tutorials by other well-known artists.
She is open-minded to new information and techniques and takes an enlightened and passionate approach to watercolour painting.
Judy sincerely hopes the viewer has an emotional response and connects with the experience that motivated her to paint.
